Happy World Refill Day! ♻️ 🎉
The circular economy (where products are reused) is key to creating a sustainable society, and
by reusing and refilling everything from beauty products to skincare and washing up, we can help reduce waste and the extraction of new raw materials.
Outside of the obvious reusables (e.g. water bottles & coffee cups), there are lots of amazing brands I absolutely swear by that are helping to make the circular economy possible.
This World Refill Day, why not see if you can swap just one item in your home for a refillable option to help prevent plastic pollution and live a life of less waste?
For some inspiration, here are five refillable products that I love using to reduce my environmental impact:
1) Good Human Beauty Products
First up on my list of fave refillable products is the amazing beauty range from none other than Good Human. What I love about Good Human is that you can send refill packets back to them for free to be refilled for other customers, but their skincare products in particular are also incredible. I personally love their Hydrating Cleanser to give my skin that gorgeous, kind-to-the-earth glow. ✨
2) Miniml Washing Up Liquid & Handwash
Just like Good Human Beauty Products, Miniml also offers refillable, zero-waste products that give customers the opportunity to return refill packets that can then be sanitised and passed along to the next customer. Their household products, like their Rhubarb & Lemon Washing-Up Liquid (which smells divine!) and Handwash, are staples in my kitchen and bathroom!
3) B&W The Collection Body Butter
Not only does B&W The Collection allow customers to plant a tree with every order, but they also offer refill pouches for their body butter range - which is absolutely divine! My personal fave is the Frankincense & Neroli Body Butter that helps to fight the signs of ageing by nourishing the skin. It also leaves you smelling gorgeous, which is always a bonus!
4) Amaranthine facial oil
Another refillable product I'm obsessed with is the multi-award-winning Amaranthine Facial Oil: a carefully curated blend of natural botanical oils combined with a mix of aromatic essential oils to leave your skin feeling softer and looking plumper. If you purchase a bottle of their facial oil with a pipette instead of the recyclable aluminium cap you can re-use your current one over and over - super convenient and kinder to the planet!
5) Stojo collapsible coffee cup
A reusable coffee cup is a staple in every activist's bag of reusable products, but my favourite by far has to be the Collapsable Coffee Cup by Stojo. I love that I can take my cup out with me for the day and collapse it neatly into my bag when I'm finished, but I also love that you can fill the cup with hot or cold drinks - perfect for every season. The cup is also dishwasher safe AND leak-proof (so no more surprises when you get home to discover the contents of your bag are soaked from a leaky cup!).
6) (Emotional Support) Water Bottle
Lastly, where would I be without my trusty (emotional support) reusable water bottle? I'm always trying to make an effort to drink more water, particularly during the summer when it's crucial to stay hydrated. We all know how awful plastic water bottles can be for the environment, which is why I never leave the house without my reusable one. It's well worth the investment, and I'd truly feel lost without it!
